Emergency services for the Emergency Services
When energy supplies fail it often causes much inconvenience. However, for people who depend on the Emergency Services and medical equipment, the failure of power supplies can be life-threatening. Where emergency power supplies are insufficient, a hospital should be able to rely on a "calamity partner" to provide emergency assistance.
We want to use a practical example to show how quickly Energyst Bladel can react after a call out (emergency call) is received. We are able to help our customers with a quick and efficient response because the service is streamlined and everyone knows what to do in an emergency situation.
It is Wednesday 1st July 2009. At around 10.00 am, an emergency call from Pon Power is received at the Bladel office: a hospital in the agglomeration is experiencing a serious problem with their power supply!
The call is taken by Jorg, a trainee in the Sales Support department. Jorg realises that a quick response is required and he immediately contacts Marc Otten in the Project Department. Marc, a power supply rental specialist, subsequently contacts the client to clarify exactly what support is needed. It soon becomes clear that the hospital urgently needs a generator of 2000 kVA with a capacity of 15,000 litres and associated wiring.
Marc then contacts Ronald van de Brande, who coordinates the distribution of materials. Ronald notes that there is only one generator of 2000 kVA in Bladel and immediately decides that this equipment will be used and that the new grids that have yet to be connected will be placed with priority.
Meanwhile, Peter Wenting is informed, and he immediately arranges transportation. As our own cars are all on the road, we decide to hire transportation externally. They can be in Bladel in the short term with 2 flat trailers from ERS. A mechanic then has to be found who can be on site at short notice. It turns out that Glenn Pijnenburg has nearly finished with another client, and he immediately travels to the hospital in question to supervise the work.

Giel van Eijk, who has been on a job in Zaandam with the crane, can drive straight to the hospital to provide assistance.
Meanwhile, Marc Otten also contacts Van Schie Crane Rental. They immediately send someone to the site to assess what type of crane is needed in order to place everything safely. Ronald also orders enough diesel to fill the 15,000 litre tank.
In Bladel, two colleagues (Danny van de Borne and Hans Geudens), together with Walter Craens van Fleet, immediately start to install the grids in the generator. When the final grids are inserted, Van Dingenen arrives with the two trailers, and after the generator has been refuelled, it is loaded instantly.
After all the efforts, the two trailers leave Bladel at 12.30. Just after they have left, they hear that a major accident has happened on the motorway they would normally take. The drivers are informed and they choose another route to avoid delays through congestion. They arrive at the hospital around 3.00 pm, where the crane is already prepared.

Late in the afternoon, everything worked out as planned, and another satisfied customer could be added to the list!
It is nice for everyone to hear afterwards that the client is extremely satisfied. It motivates us to pull out all the stops for every call out we receive.
